About
Madison Webster is a painter based in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, pursuing her MFA at PennWest Edinboro University. She received her BA in Studio Art from Queens University of Charlotte in 2023.
She uses ordinary objects, toys, and the figure to stage theatrical, dramatized narratives. Her process is informed by collecting objects, often found while antiquing or looking through prop rooms. The act of constructing these scenes is an important part of her practice. In her current body of work, she uses her studio space as her stage, exploring what is able to be created within the limitations of the space.
Madison’s work has been exhibited in The Erie Art Museum, The Elder Gallery in Charlotte, NC, and at Utah State University’s national juried exhibition.
